Description:
Road house music from Texas to California! The fifth album from LA roots singer/songwriter Sam Morrow, acclaimed by many media outlets, is the final chapter and completion of a trilogy following the country-inspired "Concrete & Mud (18)" and the rock-inspired "Gettin' By on Gettin' Down (20)"! Produced by longtime collaborator Eric Kohn, and flanked by West Coast musicians such as keyboardist Sasha Smith and drummer Matt Teck, the album delivers an earthy swamp rock sound. Sam Morrow is a singer/songwriter from Houston, Texas, USA.He grew up listening to Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Damien Rice, and many other genres, and started touring around 2012, mainly on the west coast of the U.S., but also at cafes in South Texas. He also started uploading acoustic covers of various genres of music, mainly originals, such as Radiohead, The Beatles, Gary Clark JR, etc., on YOU TUBE, where he attracted a lot of attention. He was then recognized by Eric Kohn of the emerging West Coast label Forty Bellow, who fell in love with his talent, and released his EP "True North" in early 2014. The same year, he leased his debut album, "Ephemeral," produced by Eric.Their albums have been talked about in many music magazines and websites across the U.S., and have been featured on many Americana radio stations; they released their second, "There Is No Map," in 2016, and their third, "Concrete and Mad," in 2018, and have steadily gained popularity, touring throughout the U.S. and Europe. His latest release is "Gettin' By on Gettin' Down" in 2020.
