The P-40M type is closer to the P-40K type, but it uses the same extended rear fuselage as the P-40L, and uses the more powerful Allison V-1710-81 engine, which is different from the previous "Allison "Compared with the engine, the high-altitude performance is better. It has some detailed improvements compared to other models, and the exhaust pipe is changed to a scoop shape.Most of the P-40Ms were provided to other Allied countries (mainly the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union), and some of the aircraft were equipped with troops in the United States for training.
